hosted by Pittsburgh History & Landmarks Roundation. Learn
about the environmental impact of the industrial revolutin
in "Devastation and Renewal: An Environmental History
Of Pittsburgh and Its' Region." Rediscover the role
of Washinton, PA in "The Underground Railroad in Pennsylvania."
Experience life on the frontier in this 1824 diary entitled
"Notes on the Settlement and Indian Wars"
by Joseph Doddridge. And learn how discoveries made at the
Meadowcroft Rockshelter challenged those in the field of archaeology
to rethink long-held beleifs about the origins of aboriginal
man in the Americas while reading " In Pursuit of
Archeology's Greatest Mystery." A tour of the Rockshelter
will conclude the year's program.

Fayette Township Building. November 6, 2004 is the Tour of
Pittsburgh from 1-4 PM. June 2005 (TBA) is the Tour of Rockshelter
and lecture.
