Friends’ Support Makes A Difference

The Friends of the Library are proud of our continued support of our local library. In 2021, we contributed $5,000 towards enhancing programs, updating the collection, and supporting special projects. Because of generous support of members, we fund things like the library’s summer programs, teen unseen bags, take-and-make kits, and the StoryWalk!

The Friends help to support the operation of the South Fayette Township Library through various activities including volunteering, funding or assisting with special programming, and hosting a variety of fundraisers.

The Friends of the Library is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.

Make New Friends, but Keep the Old

Friends of the Library Elect New Officers for 2022

The Friends hosted their Annual Membership Meeting at the library in October 2021. “It was our first meeting in person since the pandemic began, and it was great to be together,” said David Sandora, current President of the Friends.

The agenda included a discussion of preliminary plans for a new community center (library/rec center), upcoming fundraisers, and the election of officers. The new slate is a mix of current and new Friends.

Many thanks to outgoing active board members for their outstanding contributions over the years — Mary Ann Kerting, David Sandora, and Bill Caye.

There is one open Board positions that they are hoping to fill — Membership Chair. Please reach out if you can help!
