Gearing up for Beer for Books

South Fayette Township Library Gears Up for Second Beer for Books
South Fayette Township Library Fundraiser Set for September 19th

Next month South Fayette residents will once again have the opportunity to support the South Fayette Township Library while enjoying craft brews at the Beer for Books fundraiser, being hosted at Helicon Brewing in Oakdale.

Last year’s Beer for Books was so popular, the library’s Board of Trustees decided to put together another one for this year. Board President, Cindy Cox says, “People had such a good time last year. I kept getting asked when we were going to do it again.” The event will be hosted for its second year at Helicon Brewing in Oakdale and is set for Thursday, September 19th from 6 pm to 9 pm. Because of the generous support of Helicon owner and operator, Chris Brunetti, 100% of ticket sales are going directly to the library.

Tickets are $20 and include a free Helicon pour, 50% off additional pours throughout the event, and an entry for the door prize of two Penguins tickets. Guests will also enjoy live music from the Dave Iglar Band, which features South Fayette’s very own Director of Communications and Community Development, Andrea Iglar. Gyros N’at and Bado’s Pizza Grille & Ale House food trucks will be on site so guests can grab a tasty bite. Both food trucks are donating a portion of their proceeds to the library. There will also be a basket raffle.

Advance ticket purchases are suggested and are available online at southfayettelibrary.org/beer-for-books/ or at the South Fayette Township Library. For questions, please contact the library at 412-257-8660.
