Go Back to School (with the library)!

As summer ends and the rush to prepare for the school semester don’t forget one of the most important school supplies – A library card!

A library card can help you access everything you need to be ready for this fall semester, and your card works at any library in the county.

Learning to read? Let BookFlix help. Children in grades pre-K through 3 can develop and practice essential reading skills. Children can “watch” a book being read to them or read it themselves. You’ll need your library card number to log on from home.

Kids InfoBits provides elementary-aged students with age-appropriate, curriculum-related content covering a broad range of educational topics such as animals, arts, geography, health, literature, people, social studies, technology, etc.

Check out the Power Library for Kids! for even more useful resources.

There is also Power Teens to help out with those homework assignments that involve a bit more research.

Need a fast answer to a question? You can chat with a librarian 24/7 online

Going to school for the first time? Browse our catalog for books about kindergarten to help kids ease into this new experience.

September is Library Card Sign-up Month! If you or your child doesn’t have a card this is the month to get it!
