CLP Book Lists – Recommended books from the Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh teen staff.

Overdrive – Provides free ebooks and audiobooks for your browser and mobile devices. You can check titles out just like you would a physical library book!

Hoopla – Provides free simultaneous use of thousands of albums, TV shows, movies and audiobooks. All you need is your library card!


Mental Health and Nutrition Resources

Crisis Text Line– Crisis Text Line provides 24/7 support via text message. They are there for everything: anxiety, depression, suicide, school.

Healthline Nutrition– Evidence-based, expert articles about healthy eating in real life: cooking & meal prep, diets, weight management, supplements, condition-based eating, and more.

Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh’s You Are Not Alone: Teen Mental Health Resources– Do you have a question? A fear? An idea to explore? Could you use some support? Even if you feel alone, there are a lot of places to turn.

NYPL’s Stuff for the Teen Age blog – The New York Public Library maintains this blog on “the best in teen books and media.”

USA.gov – This resource list from the US government contains information for teens on driving, health and safety, jobs and volunteering, and more.

Peterson’s – This website from a leading print publisher of education information contains school information from kindergarten through graduate programs. Also included are career information, resume help, and strategies for planning for and financing an education.
